SPEND AN AFTERNOON IN THE PARK. Rizal Park along Roxas Boulevard Is you and your kids want a quieter venue and are more adventurous, then try going to Paco Park along Sand Marcelino and Gen. Luna Streets in Paco, Manila. It’s a popular venue for concerts so you mind be able to catch one when you go there. Another family haven is the Makati Park, which has many fountains, a sanded playground and a spacious area for running, skating and biking.
HAVE SOME FAMILY FITNESS FUN. Take your kids walking or jogging around the Academic Oval in UP Diliman. Play basketball, volleyball, tennis, badminton or go for a swim at the Marikina Sports Center. You can also take your kids skating or rollerblading at the Marikina River Park and Makati Park.
GO ANIMAL WILD. Kids just find animals fascinating, and seeing them for real is always an exciting treat. Take them to Manila Zoo or the Ninoy Aquino Parks and Wildlife. The Orchidarium at the corner of Orosa Street and Finance Drive in Rizal Park houses a fascinating collection of other colorful blooms.
