PLAY TOURIST AND EXPLORE MANILA AND ITS HISTORY.  APART FROM FIELD TRIP STAPLES Intramuros and Fort Santiago, take the kids to see and experience Quiapo and Chinatown so they can see, hear, feel and taste the heart of Manila.  Visit the Quiapo Church and explore the Lacson underpass where each passageway leads to a different street and different sights to see.  See the Muslim  way of life in the Mosque area where you can buy durian, sarong and other items from Mindanao.  On the other hand,  Chinatown is like a whole new world.  Take the family around and let them experience the Tsinoy way of living .  Sample the Chinese specialties like fried pao, siomai, dimsum, hopia… Yummy!

STROLL ALONG THE BAY AREA.  IT’S WONDERFUL THE WAY THE Manila city government transformed the walkway overlooking the Manila Bay into a pleasant, people-friendly area aptly call the Baywalk.  Catch the magnificence of the Manila Bay sunset it will surely take your kids’ breath away.  End the day with dinner at the Baywalk’s many different restaurant.

GO-CHURCH SHOPPING.  Visit the San Sebastian Church and its neighbor, the Manila Cathedral Church, both located inside Intramuros.  It’s your chance to appreciate both churches’ architectural beauty and history.  The San Sebastian Church has a private museum that houses, among others, 26 huge oil paintings of saints, and the crypts where Philippines notable are buried. - Leah Mendoza
