Outdoor Family Fun (4)

LEARN WITH YOUR KIDS.  Learning can certainly be enjoyable if you go to these two educational yet fun places!  The National Planetarium Museum, located at the Rizal Park Complex, holds astronomical audio-visual shows and static exhibitions.  You can see the night sky with all the thousands of stars through a very powerful projector.  Meanwhile, the Museo Pambata, located along Roxas Boulevard corner South Drive, is a children’s interactive museum.  It has eight theme rooms where the children can learn about out cultural heritage, the environment, the human body, science, different professions and even human rights.

GO BACK TO BACKYARD BASICS.  Set up your barbecue grill at your backyard and let the kids help grill fish, pork, chicken and vegetables.  You can even hold a picnic afterwards.  Five you garden a new look by pruning your plants and planting new ones.  Or, you can help your kids make a children’s kitchen garden by planting their favorite vegetables in it.  At night, set up a camping tent or a makeshift one and sleep under the stars.  But before you do so, gaze at the stars and give your kids a crash course in astrology. – Leah Mendoza
